Hi friends! I've got another finished commission to share with you today! My Autumn's Weekend Shawl; This shawl was commissioned by my partner's Grandmother in January. She asked for a light wrap she could wear to church to keep the chill off. I sent her a few options in different sizes and yarn weights and this pattern was her favorite. The pattern is called Autumn's Weekend Shawl by Olga Rostovskaya on Ravelry. I altered the design a little by doubling the size of each stripe and working seven stripes instead of nine. I found this great video by the Sweater Collective that was super helpful in figuring out the picot bind off. The yarn I used is Knit Picks Diadem in the colorway Sapphire. Diadem is a 50% Alpaca 50% Mulberry Silk blend. It knits up with a wonderful drape and is super soft. It is a little splitty since it's such a soft single ply and it gets fuzzy quickly, especially if you need to do any backtracking. This guy is headed off to his new home in Longview Washington this week!
I've got more projects in the works that I'm excited to share with you including my first knitted sock pattern and a throw blanket featuring some of the most delicious hand dyed yarn from Black Trillium Fibre Co. Stay tuned for more knitty updates! Thanks for stopping by! -Ashley

The Autumn season is already around the corner and I am still not ready. Well, I live in a place where people value Autumn too much. During the start of the Autumn season, most of the people in our neighborhood plan a feast. This year, I am part of the organization who is organizing the entire event. I have a lot of responsibilities that I need to take care of right now, I really hope that I can do good.
