Hi friends! I thought I'd drop in and share some of my July projects with you! I've been catching up on some long term personal projects, creating some new housewares for the Etsy shop and working on some fresh patterns for my Ravelry shop! What long term personal projects, you ask!? Well, I sure have enough of them. Lately I've been catching up on my never ending pink striped knee high socks. I finally finished the ribbing on sock #2, decided that I'd used the wrong size needles, ripped it out, then realized I'd used the right size needles. So that's going well. I've also been been working on my Tegna top. I've finished the body portion and split the sides for the front and back shaping. I've been getting close to the end of my Arcuato shawl. I'm not sure if this one falls into the long term knits since I've only been working on him since April but, guys, we're getting there. Only 16 more rows to go! And, thank goodness, I actually finished a long term project! My Snuggle Puff Pumpkin Patch Scarf is done! I started back in January so it's very nice to have this guy complete and headed off to his forever home. (You might be thinking, wow, Ashley looks different here. I've had some work done. JK, my sister kindly modeled my finished scarf for me.) Moving on to housewares! I've been slowly filling my shop with less clothing and clothing related patterns and more fun housewares. I started with macramé planters and I'm hoping to add some crochet rugs and pillow cases to the shop. I started practicing my rug skills with this rainbow cotton yarn and made a simple bath mat. I liked it so much I saved it for myself! I then made a cotton/linen one for the shop. I'm saving up to buy paint on rug backing so it is nice and non-slip before I list it. I'm also working on this sweet pillow case for the shop. I'm creating the pattern for it as well which will be available in my Rav and on Etsy. Speaking of fresh, tasty patterns, I'm also working on a crochet Bavarian cowl pattern. I have this puppy all written up I just need to test knit him one more time then get some close up technical shots and he'll be ready to go. That is most of the stuff I've been working on this month. I'd be remiss if I didn't post a few pictures of the cute little crochet buddies I made along the way as well; That's it for July! wish me luck in at least getting a few of these projects finished before the end of the month!
I've been working on a Patreon page as well. I'm not sure if it's something that I'll be going through with since being in front of a camera and making video content seems to be the key to their construct but I do have the page set up and I'm considering going forward with it. Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in seeing/participating in. I'll put up the link if enough people have interest. Thanks for reading! -Ashley
