I've had a busy couple of weeks crafting and decorating for Fall. I've got a bevy of fun stuff to show you, lets get started! I recently finished Alex's Fall Sweater. It turned out super cute! I'm gonna grab some pictures of him wearing it this weekend so you can see how cute he looks. Here are some previews; Super cozy! I also started a cute pair of fingerless mittens out of Baby Alpaca Silk Drops Yarn for my Etsy shop. The pattern is Pioneer Lace Fingerless Mitts by Christy Hills. I don't usually make projects with such tiny needles and yarn, so it has been a kind of frustrating project (ladders for days!) but they're coming along nicely. (Don't stress, I fixed all ladders, I'm a perfectionist.) The lace pattern is on the back and the front of the mittens so this is not a project you can work on while watching TV, you pretty much have to read every row of the pattern like a book while you're knitting. I'm exited to get these up on the Etsy, I think they will make a great Fall gift for someone. I put up some Fall decor, including my homemade Fall banner and my pom-pom garland! As for last weeks projects, I finished a cute, little cactus named Clem, you can find his pattern here. I also finished a big 'ol Wool Hat using this pattern, and this wonderful Eskimo Wool by Drops. I also finished a Pumpkin Tea Cozy because, why not!? I used this pattern (heavily altered to look more like a pattern from this book) and some fantastic Drops Big Merino, which is a touch splitty but otherwise lovely to work with. I'll definitely need more of this stuff.
Whew! That's a lot of projects! I hope you've enjoyed my journey of September creations, don't worry, it's far from over! I'm going to be starting on some new, fun stuff as early as next week! Thanks for following along! -Ashley
