I finally finished my Aquatic Mugs! I shared this photo on the Facebook and Instagram but I've got a few more pictures here just in case you can't get enough Mugs! Here's my cute little crab. He was the first one I finished. The black paint warped a little when I baked it, don't worry, I touched it up before I sealed it. My turtle is probably my favorite. I love the way his coloring turned out. Alex helped a lot on this one with color and shading suggestions. Green Mermaid! I think she turned out looking a little bit like the Wicked Witch of the West. The mermaids tail is personalized for the recipient of the mugs. The Octopus was the hardest one to complete. I couldn't decide how to color him to make him look more like an Octopus and less like a purple blob. I ended up stippling him then adding little orange tentacles at the end. Here's the view from the side. Look at that beautiful mermaid tail! Back view! Some of the silver did a little shrinking after being baked so these guys got a little touch up before sealing too. I'm pretty happy with how these guys turned out. There are definitely some imperfections I wish I could fix but I won't mention them so you'll never know what they are! Hah!
I hope you're super impressed and stunned by the beauty of these Aquatic mugs! If you want to read more about my process and see some progress shots you can find them here and here. Thanks for stopping by! -Ashley
