Sorry I've been MIA!
I always have a little existential crisis around my Birthday and question all my life choices and the direction of my business. It's a tradition.
I have made time, in the midst of all my brooding, to cast on a fantastic pair of lace Summer Socks. The pattern I'm using is Arabesque Socks by Jessica Gore.
I just finished knitting a Top Secret Birthday gift!
Now that it's been delivered I can share it with you;
I'm working on another selfish knit from my #makenine2018 list!
I'm knitting the pattern Iris by Melody Hoffman!
Is it getting toasty where you are? It's getting warm here in the PNW. I don't know about you but when the weather heats up I like to switch to lighter yarns and smaller projects. I've compiled a little list of my Summertime favorite yarns, give these a try and let me know which ones you dig!
It's finally finished!
Kecia's Favorite Sweater is done!
As some of you might know, I've been working on recreating my cousin Kecia's very favorite (but very well worn) sweater. I've been knitting this guy since August, so I'm pretty excited to finally have him off the needles!
I've been knitting away on my Tegna Top and Kecia's Sweater but they're seemingly never ending! In order to not get completely burnt out, I've thrown in a quick, fun project to keep myself entertained.
The pattern is Kiela Mittens by Meiju K-P on Ravelry.
I'm nearing the finish line on another fun sweater project!
My latest creation is called Mazzy Cardigan by Elizabeth Smith AKA The Brown Stitch. It's an open front cardigan that features mock cable ribbing on the front panels. It is knitted from the bottom up in one piece.
I finally finished Jakson's Tweed Socks!
These guys took forever! I was a little distracted by a few super top secret projects I've been working on. I also suffered from a bout of Second Sock Syndrome which made it tough to get sock #2 off the needles. I've since solved this problem by getting myself a new set of circular needles for Magic Loop Two at a Time Socks. (As long as my cat doesn't eat these ones too, I'll be good to go!)
AFA was launched in 2015 as a craft and lifestyle blog. It has since morphed into a full time knitting blog! Here you'll find pattern and yarn reviews as well as a smattering of recipes and original patterns.
