I've been making some great progress on my Greystone Cardigan! The yarn is lovely to work with and so far the pattern has been easy to follow. I did have to start over on a different needle size because it was turning out too small and now it's flying right along. Look at fuzzy alpaca yarn! It's so soft and wonderful! I've started the waist shaping and am cruising right along. I'm really pumped to see what it looks like with the collar stitches picked up, I'm thinking it'll look a lot more like a sweater and less like pattern pieces. Look at that wonderful texture! Moonunit kitty decided to be super brave and climb down the stairs to help me with my photo shoot. She worries about my safety when I'm outdoors and does her best to protect me. <3 ****UPDATE**** I am now almost done with the body of the sweater! I'm not making it quite as long as the pattern calls for because I'm super short. At this point in the pattern I'm supposed to whip up some pockets in the Purl Twist Stitch pattern (same texture as the back panel) but all I really want to do is start busting out those sleeves! I love how it's turning out but my progress might slow down in the next couple of weeks due to this toasty, hot weather! I know I've dedicated myself to knitting a Summer full of Sweaters but holy moly! It was so fiery this weekend I didn't want to knit anything! Fortunately, I found this wonderful lady and her cute knits that are going to help me get some knitting in when I'm too toasty to work on a big 'ol sweater. I thought I'd start with this little project, then work on this little top. I have a bunch of Cascade Fixation leftover from an ill fated bathing suit that I'm going to put to good use.
Anyway! Jeeze I get off track... Cardigan=going well. Stay tuned for more updates PLUS some new, exciting mug projects! What could they be!?? Thanks for stopping by! -Ashley
