My Greystone Cardigan is flying off the needles! (You can read more about this project here and here.) First, I finished the bottom band of ribbing on the main body portion of the sweater. Isn't it pretty!? Second, I knitted the pockets. Then I knitted one sleeve... And Saturday, during an epic day of Nachos and MST3K with some of my besties, I finished sleeve #2! TAADAAAAAH! Now I just need to knit the front band and sew those pockets on! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! I'll be finished with my sweater just in time for my Birthday!
I am a little concerned with the sleeves being as huge as they are, they're very wide for some reason. I think it'll make it extra snuggly for layering over clothes in the Fall. I was hoping for a more streamlined sweater, more Cardigan and less coat, but you get what you swatch for. I'm not very experienced with sweater knitting, this is only my 4th sweater in all my years of knitting! But, I stocked up on Sweater yarn during a KnitPicks sale (Wool of the Andes ftw!) and I'm going to go pro. By the end of this year I'm going to be Awesome at knitting sweaters! Yeah! Stay tuned because finished sweater photos will be coming soon! Ahh! I'm so pumped! Thanks for reading, -Ashley
