Hey there! I wanted to stop by and share this lovely sweater pattern I've been working on this week. The pattern is called Illas Cies and it's by Anne Hanson. PHOTO BY ANNE HANSON I'm knitting this sweater for my dear friend Hannah. I had her pick out the yarn and the pattern so hopefully she will love the finished product. The yarn she chose is KnitPicks Andean Treasure in the colorway Aurora Heather. It's a magical sport weight yarn made from the softest baby Alpaca. It's wonderful to work with and is a joy to wear. (I have my own Andean Treasure sweater and I love it.) Even though this sweater has an intricate mock cable band in the center of every panel, it seems to be knitting up pretty quickly. The pattern is written well and is easy to follow. The mock cable portion is both written and charted. I've already finished the back panel and have started to make progress on the front. I've been bouncing back and forth between this project and a pair of simple ribbed socks I'm making for Alex. I like the balance of having both a simple and a complicated project on the needles at the same time. I don't know how tired my brain is going to be at the end of the day (aka. when the knitting happens.)
I'll share more updates on Hannah's sweater soon! I also have an Etsy shop update coming up and a new commission I'm excited to share with you! What are you guys working on this weekend!? Let me know below in the comments! Thanks for reading! -Ashley
