Pennant Socks

Hi guys! Long time no see!

Today I'm working on a set of merino/silk blend socks. I'm knitting these guys up in a beautiful orange color called Masala. The yarn I'm using is KnitPicks Gloss Fingering which is 70% Merino Wool, 30% Silk.

The Pattern is from KnitPicks' book Socktacular which is a "Choose Your Own Adventure" in sock knitting. The book helps you create custom socks in a variety of patterns. It even talks you through knitting them toe up or cuff down! This is my first toe up pair of socks.

I'm using the Standard Toe method and the "Pennants" stitch pattern. I think I'll be trying out an Afterthought or Mitered Heel and using a Ribbed Cuff. This book is so much fun to use, the instructions are clear and the stitch patterns are elegant, I definitely recommend it.

These silky socks will be hopping into my Etsy shop sometime in November so keep your eyes peeled!

Don't worry, I'm still working like crazy on Kecia's sweater. I would be working on my Tegna top but I ran out of yarn!

I'll be back with more updates soon!

Thanks for stopping by!
