Slipper Socks

Hi guys! I have a quick update for you today.
Sorry for being MIA lately. I've been desperately trying to get some great photos of my new sweater for you but the weather has NOT been cooperating! It has been raining for days! Every time I go out to take photos it's either dark, gloomy light, which makes my green sweater look blue or it's raining so hard I can't even take my wool project out into the damp. I now have a collection of terrible sweater photos on my phone which do not do any justice to the sweater I've been working on for the last month. Uncool.

I will keep working on sweater pics but in the meantime I felt like y'all would like to see the new project I'm working on;

I'm making a cute set of Men's Slipper Socks for my Etsy site. I was gifted a bunch of fun, self striping Wool/Acrylic blend yarn and thought this would be the perfect Winter project for this yarn.

So far, this self striping yarn does not yield completely matching socks (which is kind of a big pet peeve for me) but I'm going to be "carefree" and let it fly.

The yarn is Woolspun by Lions Pride which is 80% Acrylic and 20% Wool. The pattern is Bulky Sleep Socks by Staci Perry. The pattern is an easy knit IF you are familiar with short row shaping, BUT if you aren't familiar with w&t's the pattern provides video links for each and every technique. It's a well written, toe up pattern and gives you a nice, well explained, stretchy bind off at the end for the cuff. It's very thorough from beginning to end and it includes sizing for kids, women and men.

I am almost finished with sock number two and they should be up on the Etsy by next week! (They're a Men's size 10 just in case you were curious.)

Hopefully I can get that sweater photo shoot to work out when the rain breaks and you guys can see the finished product of my Wanderling Sweater, she turned out lovely!

PS. Tune in to my Instagram if you're following the #yarnlovechallenge on Instagram this month, it's really fun and such a great way to get to know fellow knitters!

Thanks for stopping by!

-Ashley

UPDATE!
These socks were so popular they were sold before they hit my Etsy shop. I'll try to whip up another set before Winter is over and pop them up in the shop!
