Tweed October

Recently I fell prey to another KnitPicks sale.

I can't help it! They sell the most magical yarn!

As a result I've ended up with a gorgeous bouquet of Tweed yarns that are just waiting to be made into beautiful items for my Etsy shop.

I've been considering lately taking down some of the older items in my Etsy shop. I have items from 2011, when I first posted my shop, that have been stagnating for years and have not been as popular as I had hoped. Items such as my Pom Pom Tea Cozy and my Cake Themed Toilet Paper Cozies. I'll also possibly be taking down some of my jewelry and felt crafts in order to make room for more knitted items. (Yes these are terrible screen shots, I've had these items listed for 5 years and no longer have the original photographs.)

In their place I would like to post fabulous new items like; more hats, mittens, leg warmers and socks!

Since it is Fall and I have these fabulous new wooden labels I would like to debut...

I'm going to start working on a collection of Fall colored Tweed goodies. Lots of cables and thick, warm accessories for Fall and the upcoming Winter Weather.

I've been doing a little research and these are a few of the patterns I've been looking into; Traveling Cable Hat, Interlocking Cable Hat, Cabled Hand Warmers, Spate Mittens, Basic Mittens, Cable Knit Boot Cuffs, Tilly Legwarmers. Just some ideas! Nothing concrete.

Since I have had to update all my sites due to the brand name change, and am still in the process of updating business cards and washing care tags and all that good stuff for the site, it feels like the right time to shake things up. I hope you guys are enthusiastic about some new products up in the shop and a great Fall, into Winter, Tweed collection which should be super fun and cozy.

I'll provide up to the minute updates on which projects will be entering the shop and when. Please let me know if you have anything you would like custom made. I'm more than happy to make you whatever your heart desires!

Thanks for reading!

My last big purchase from Knit Picks I got 2 of every Stroll Tweed colour except, like, 3 colourways. They are just so preeettyyyy! I've been pondering what to design with them. I'm thinking something Outlander inspired or cabled gloves or... well, with that many options, I probably don't need to limit myself too much. And if I run out (ha!), I can always buy more!

Have fun with the shop update!

Talena, i'm a total sucker for Stroll sock yarn! I just grabbed the KnitPicks Socktacular book. It's very cool, it has instructions for knitting socks toe up and cuff down and a bunch of different variations on the theme. I totally recommend it!
