Happy New Year! I'm starting off 2017 by making a brand new sweater! The pattern I've chosen is Wanderling by Isabell Kraemer; (photo by Isabell Kraemer) It's a basic, seamless top down sweater with raglan shaping. It has the addition of fun, mock cables shaping the yoke and a mock cable panel down the back. (photo by Isabell Kraemer) The pattern begins with German short rows, which are so fun to learn! I definitely recommend trying this technique. It also features pockets on the sides, I'm still undecided on whether I'll be including them. (photo by Isabell Kraemer) I'm using some Wool of the Andes Sport by KnitPicks.com in the colorway Aurora Heather. I've just started on the A-Line shaping. It's coming together quickly. I do plan to make the sweater a few inches longer than called for, due to my body shape. Hopefully it will be flattering on me, if not, I have a couple sisters waiting in the wings who I'm sure will be more than happy to take it off my hands. ;) I've picked out some magical buttons too! A beautiful set of red/brown carved wooden buttons I found at the Etsy shop Montage Supply. I think I'll be able to finish this guy by the end of the month. I'll post updates on my work on Instagram and lots of pictures up here as soon as she's done! Thanks for reading!
